Journalist and author Alanna Mitchell will receive the US$75,000 Grantham Prize for her book, "Sea Sick: The Global Ocean in Crisis." The book, published by McClelland & Stewart in Canada and by The University of Chicago Press in the U.S., is a stirring account of the threats facing the ocean.

Chef Clint's Best SCRAMBLED TOFU
INGREDIENTS:
16-ounce block firm tofu
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup minced onion
2 teaspoons soy sauce
- Drain the tofu and crumble it.
- Sauté the garlic with the olive oil in a medium sauté pan on medium heat, for about 2 minutes. (can be made on flat top griddle)
- Stir in the crumbled tofu first, then, add turmeric, salt, pepper, onions and soy sauce.
- Cook the tofu for 3 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
