No easy finish
Donald Ross wanted tough tests to close out rounds of golf, and that’s what we all like about the two Mill Creek Golf courses — and we like that there’s finally beer for sale at the Barry Dyngles clubhouse.
The No. 9 hole on the north course is as for- midable a test as any closing hole there.
The mature trees, the creek and the dogleg combine to reward precision shooting.
Off the tee, you’re boxed in by the trees and the creek. Too left, right or long — and you lose par.
To the green, a bunker creates problems and a tight green continues the feeling of not
too much room on this hole.
