Description: Austintown’s third annual Austintown Night Out will be 5 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at Austintown Township Park. Music will be provided by Larry Melton Entertainment and the band Uptown Saturday Night. Games, face painting, food, clowns, bounce house and slide, dunk tank, demonstrations by area safety forces including the Austintown Police and Fire Departments, SWAT, Ambulances, and The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with explorations of the safety vehicles, will be offered. Kids can also meet and sing songs with Queen Elsa and Anna, Tinkerbell, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
Austintown Night Out is a part of The National Night Out, an event held around the country the first Tuesday in August. It is held by Block Watches and Police Departments and supports and encourages relationships between neighbors and law enforcement under positive circumstances. Community residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights and come out and meet their neighbors. The event is free and open to the public.
