Description: Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries announces the inception of GoodGuides Youth Mentoring Program. The mission of the program is to engage youth in positive activities with adult mentors in an effort to help teens finish school and transition into productive careers. GoodGuides is holding an open house kick-off event in support of its new mentoring program. The open house is February 18 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Goodwill Industries, 2747 Belmont Avenue, Youngstown. Refreshments will be provided. The GoodGuides staff will be in attendance to answer questions and discuss the purpose and goals of the mentoring program. The staff is looking for adults in the area to serve as mentors to young people who are at-risk for delinquency. Also, youth referral forms will be available to interested parties.
