Westminster 92, La Roche 89 (OT)
PITTSBURGH Junior forward Chauncey Whitlow (Youngstown/Wilson High) scored 13 points as the Titans won their first game. The Titans (1-3) mounted a 27-point, 47-20 point lead with 3:57 remaining in the first half only to watch the Redhawks (1-3) go on a remarkable 27-0 run to tie the game at 47-47 with 16:36 left in the second half. The Redhawks then went up by four points in the overtime period, but a 3-pointer by senior guard/forward Dom Joseph (New Castle/New Castle High) and four made free throws by senior guard Greg Rosatelli brought the Titans back into the game and secured the win.
WOMEN
Albion 85, Bethany 71
WILMINGTON Albion College's women put four players in double figures as it rallied in the second half. Behind 28-25, Albion (3-1) outscored Bethany 60-43 in the second half. Megan Garvey, Jessica Babcock, Autumn Carley and Stephani Croad paced the winners with 17, 13, 12 and 10 points respectively. Mandi Swiger led Bethany (1-3) with 24 points. Lisa Mitchell, Brooke Orange and Caelyn DiSanti chipped in with 14, 13 and 11 points. Sunday, Bethany fell to 1-4 with an 82-56 setback to Olivet (Mich.) College on the second day of the Wilmington Inn/Damon's Fred Raizk Tournament, hosted by Wilmington College.
