Dr. Mark P. Braydich (1983) — Selected for basketball, Braydich was also a two-way starter in football on the 1982 state championship team. A three-year starter in basketball, he was a captain as a senior and the sixth-leading scorer all-time in school history. He was second team All-Steel Valley Conference and first team All-Diocese.

Dean Cicoretti (1988) — Selected for football, he was a member of the 1987 state championship team as a running back and linebacker. He rushed for more than 1,100 yards that season and was selected All-SVC. He also earned conference honors in baseball.

Ralph DePasco (1981) — Selected for football, DePasco was quarterback of the 1980 team. Known as a leader of the team, he ran the option to perfection. DePasco was selected first team All-Steel Valley Conference and captain of the All-Diocese team.

Kristen D'Alesandro Halloran (1989) — Selected for tennis, D'Alesandro Halloran was a four-year letter winner and selected first team All-Steel Valley Conference from 1986-88. She was a regional qualifier in 1987 and 1988, and after graduation competed in triathlons.

John French (1985) — Selected for football, French was an upback and linebacker known for his hard-hitting style. He was named first team All-Steel Valley Conference and All-Diocese as a senior, and second team All-Ohio.

Dale Gresko (1968) — Selected for football, Gresko was a special teams player as a sophomore before starting in the defensive backfield as a junior and senior. The teams in 1966-67 won city championships. He led the City Series in 1967 with eight takeaways and was named All-City, All-Diocese and WKBN all-area.

Joe Kelty (1985) — Selected for football, Kelty comes from a family of linemen who played for Mooney. H was named first team All-Steel Valley Conference All-Northeast Ohio, second team All-Ohio, All-Diocese and honorable mention All-American. He was winner of the Mack Truck Award as a senior and selected to the Ohio all-star game.

Lenny Krispinsky — Selected for "significant contributions as a boys soccer coach," Krispinsky coached from 1991-2005. He was instrumental in the funding, acquisition and construction of Mooney's first home soccer field. He was selected Youngstown district coach of the year three times, and led the Cardinals to one state championships, two state runners-up, five regional championships, five consecutive district championships and five Steel Valley Conference championships. He had a 156-89-19 career record.

Kerry Manning Pregibon (1991) — Selected for golf, Manning Pregibon won four letters and compiled a record of 47-13-4, the third-best in school history. She led the team in scoring average as a sophomore and junior, and the Cardinals finished second in the regional and state tournaments when she was a sophomore. She was named second team all-state and was All-Steel Valley Conference three times.

Richard Phillip Marsico (1975) — Selected for football, Marsico excelled as an offensive lineman. He was a three-year letter winner who was All-SVC as a junior and senior. A member of the 1973 state championship team, he was All-NEO and All-Diocese, and was third team all-state. He also earned two letters in both basketball and track and field.

Roy Nard — Selected for "significant contributions as basketball coach," Nard coached both the boys and girls programs. His 1989 team finished with 23 wins and was the only unbeaten regular season team in school history. His 1997 girls team finished 19-4, the school's best. He was 107-76 as boys coach with SVC titles in 1986 and 1989, and three district championships. He was 122-56 as girls coach with two district titles.

Rick Testa (1976) — Selected for baseball, Testa was the only unanimous selection to the Steel Valley Conference all-star team in 1976. He led the Cardinals to a district runner-up finish. He also was a member of the football team as a defensive end.
