She scored 11 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and came up with five steals and two assists. MEN

Westminster 102, Allegheny 97

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — Westminster held off Allegheny for a non-conference win at Buzz Ridl Gymnasium. The Titans improved to 2-4 while the Gators fell to 3-3. Junior guard Craig Hannon (New Castle, Pa./Union) led all scorers with 25 points, as he sank seven of 14 shots from 3-point range and 8 of 15 overall from the field. Senior guard Greg Rosatelli also had a big night as he scored 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting to go with a game-high five assists. Other double-figure scorers for the Titans included senior guard/forward Dom Joseph (New Castle, Pa./New Castle) with 14 points, freshman forward Ryne Murray with 12, and senior guard Nick Adams with 10. Westminster opens conference play Saturday when it hosts Washington & Jefferson at 6 p.m. in Presidents' Athletic Conference play.

Carnegie-Mellon 78, Bethany 77

BETHANY, W.Va. — The Bethany College men's basketball team (4-3) nearly erased a six-point deficit in the final two minutes, but came up just short in a loss to visiting Carnegie Mellon. The Tartans scored 10 consecutive points early to take a 12-5 lead they maintained through the majority of the first half. However, Bethany held Carnegie Mellon scoreless for a five-minute stretch midway through the period,

which allowed them to take a brief 21-20 lead on two free throws by freshman Jason McKeegan at the 8:19 mark. That lead was short-lived however, as CMU's Geoff Kozak drained a three the next trip down the floor and the Tartans would build a 43-37 halftime lead. Kozak totaled 13 in the opening period and Ryan Einwag netted 12 for the visitors, which countered 13 first half points from Bethany freshman Joe Testa. The Bison deficit was still six points with five minutes gone from the second half before they rallied. Back-to-back treys from senior Chris Stephens and senior James Wallace highlighted a 10-2 spurt that gave the Bison a 53-51 lead.
