RB Nate Kmic became MUC's all-time career rushing leader against Wilmington with 4,209 yards in 25 career starts, to surpass Dan Pugh (4,012 yards from 1999-2003). Kmic previously set the school single-season rushing record in 2006 with 2,365 yards. Kmic also ranks No. 4 in OAC career net rushing yards, only 518 yards behind all-time leader Kenneth Sasu from Marietta (4,727 yards from 1997-2000).

Senior QB Marc LaScola (Wellsville) led Thiel with 9-for-14 passing for 85 yards and 30 yards rushing in nine runs. Waynesburg, coached by Rick Shepas, a Cardinal Mooney High and YSU graduate, is off to a 6-0 start for the first time since 1967. The Yellow Jackets were led by RB Robert Heller with 130 yards rushing in 29 attempts and two TDs. Freshman QB Kyle Kyper was 8-for-13 passing for 132 yards and two TDs, both scoring aerials to freshman WR Ray Hightower II of Ursuline. Hightower had three catches for 51 yards.

Scouting report: W&J rolled past Westminster last Saturday, 58-18, led by junior QB Bobby Swallow (West Branch). Swallow threw six TD passes to tie his school record, all of the throws coming in the first half. Senior WR Tom McCafferty caught four of those TD passes to also set a school record. Swallow wound up 29-for-37 passing for 357 yards. McCafferty finished with eight catches for 146 yards, and was named PAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Geneva (4-2)

Geneva's last game Oct. 6 was a 20-7 loss to 10th-ranked Salisbury University — despite four trips into the red zone but only one TD. Geneva's defense has been a highlight of the team, led by Brad Roman's 54 tackles and sophomore Brian Wilson's league-best 16.5 tackles for losses and eight sacks.

Wooster (2-4, 2-1 NCAC)
vs. Allegheny (4-2, 2-1 NCAC)

Wooster was led by junior RB Dustin Sheppard who rushed for a season-high 136 yards in 34 carries and one TD, which was a go-ahead score that gave the Scots the lead for good. Sophomore DE Chris Wade had a key interception that proved to be the turning point of the game. For Allegheny, senior QB Drew Stelzer completed 28 of 35 passes for 279 yards and one TD, while Jim Lieb caught 12 passes for 141 yards and one TD. Lieb's 12 receptions were the third-most in school history.

Walsh was outlasted in overtime by Malone last Saturday, 42-35, marking the Cavaliers' second straight loss to the Pioneers. The win enabled Malone to retain the Dick Gallagher Memorial Trophy. TB Bernard Payton provided the winning points with a 2-yard scoring dash to give the Pioneers a 42-35 lead. It was Payton's fourth TD of the game, and he finished with 221 yards rushing.

Wideout Josh Settlemire (Howland) led the receivers with eight catches for 118 yards.
