It’s been a rough go for head coach Dallas Saunders. Last year, his Wildcats won only two games and lost eight. This year, he hopes his squad can turn the corner and earn some success. The offense will run through the two-headed rushing attack of senior tailbacks Jermayne Brooks and Keith Auman. Brooks, the team’s leading rusher last year, finished with 667 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. He added another 250 yards receiving and a score. Whenever Brooks was given a breather, Auman was given the rock. Auman ran for 625 yards and scored six touchdowns. Saunders said junior wide receiver Mike Kunzer will also see some time in the offensive backfield this year. To give the runners a break, Struthers will take to the air with a seasoned receiving corps. Three of the four top wideouts from last year will return, with All-ACC receiver Nick Jacubec having graduated.
"Our strengths are a large group of returning players on both sides of the ball."
