Coming off a 4-6 season, the Red Dragons have 12 lettermen returning (six starters on offense and five starters on defense). Niles runs a spread offense and a 4-3 defense. Head coach Brad Yeager says the strength of the team is that they are experienced and quick at the skill positions. A concern is the young players on the offensive and defensive lines. Quarterback Zack Bailey returns after having thrown for 600 yards and five touchdowns in 2009. He also rushed for 250 yards. Hamilton Robinson rushed for 600 yards. Linebacker Pat Barrett led the Red Dragons in tackles. “We anticipate much improvement in 2010,” Yeager said. “We have great skill players with good speed. We’re young up front but have good size with our offensive and defensive line sophomores.”
