Mark Assion returns as head coach. He coached the Bluejays from 2005-07. The team will continue to play aggressive, hard-nosed defense. The Blue Jays’ offense will change its offensive scheme from a shotgun read to more of a multiple-I formation, run-oriented team. “We are blessed with a wonderful administration and great facilities and we hope to capitalize as we move forward this season,” Assion said. Assion said the Bluejays have a good group of skill players. A concern is lack of experience for the offensive line. Players lost to graduation include RB Wilbur Wilson, QB Reggie Jones and lineman Anthony Tomaino.
