On some cameras, it say's 3CCD on the side of it. What does 3CCD mean?

CCD means Charged Coupled Device, which is a chip inside the camera that filters the cameras Red, Green and Blue colors that the camera uses to process the colors. The more CCD's the camera has the better the picture quality will have. So a camera that has 3CCD chip in it, that chip will process each of the colors individually. GIving the picture a crisp, quality look.

Jonathon asked this on December 31, 2007:

With most of today's technology switching to High Definition (H.D.). What has Accent Media done to switch to High Definition?

Recently Accent Media has purchased a Panasonic HVX camera, which shoots in true High Definition 1080i format. While Accent Media has the means to shoot in High Definition, most of the surrounding communities have not yet switched to the High Definition format. Some of the recent shoots Accent Media have done has involved the camera which has the option to switch from High Definition or 24p, which will give the film like look to any project.

Jonathon asked this on December 31, 2007:

Over the past few years, I have been spending more and more money, keeping up with our hi-tech culture. One of the things that seems to be changing so fast, is the format I get my movies on. I still haven't completely recovered from throwing out my VHS tapes, and now I hear that my DVD's are becoming obsolete too! Blu-ray, HD DVD, PSP...How much more money do I have to spend, and what does it all mean?

Kevin: Well it is true that today's technology turns on a dime. No group of people will sympathize with you more than those of us in the video and film industry. This format debate has been heating up and will likely last for some time. As we move on to the crystal clarity of High Definition (HD) video, (of which we at Accent Media have our own HD camera, the Panasonic HVX 200,) the discs that our movies are played on must change too. Blu-ray discs are a Sony based innovation to support HD video. Each disc has the capacity of 50+ gigabyte's, compared to a normal DVD's storage of 4 gigabytes. On the other side of the fence, is Microsoft's HD DVD. HD DVD is the replacement version of today's normal DVD. This format stores only 30 gigabyte's of data, but the players are still compatible with normal DVD's. This backwards compatibility, may prove to be the tie-breaker for the market. PSP is another entity all together. Also made by Sony, this format is for use in the Play Station Portable. Luckily, this mobile gaming/video device isn't a direct competitor with Blu-ray or HD DVD players. Sony and Microsoft both seem to have their own format advantages, but this is the race that is still too close to call. For now, wait until the prices come down and one format takes the lead.

Growing up in the 60's the Sunday paper had a section of pictures and community events in a brown tinted section. Was it called the rotograpic or did it go by another name.
